Colorado Ski Shop is looking for an outgoing, dependable Assistant Store Manager who enjoys skiing, biking, and working with people.
The ideal candidate has experience with ski and/or bicycle products and can help lead a team while providing excellent customer service. Ski knowledge is especially valuable because winter is a major part of our business, but candidates with a strong bicycle background and a willingness to learn the ski side are also encouraged to apply.
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of the ski and bike industry, contribute ideas, support the team, and help our stores succeed.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily operation of the store.
- Help lead, motivate, and support the sales team.
- Deliver knowledgeable and friendly customer service.
- Assist customers with ski and bicycle equipment, apparel, and accessories.
- Help train employees on products, sales, and customer service.
- Keep employees engaged and daily responsibilities on track.
- Support merchandising, inventory, receiving, and store organization.
- Help achieve store sales and customer-service goals.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Open and close the store as needed.
- Take charge of store operations when the Store Manager is unavailable.
- Participate in store promotions, events, clinics, and seasonal activities.
Qualifications
- Skiing and/or bicycling experience is required.
- Working knowledge of ski or bicycle equipment and products.
- A willingness to learn and become knowledgeable in both sides of the business.
- Previous retail, sales, supervisory, or leadership experience.
- Outgoing, approachable, and comfortable working with customers.
- Able to lead by example and work alongside the team.
- Dependable, organized, and able to take initiative.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Available to work weekends and during busy seasonal periods.
- Interested in building a career in the ski, bike, or outdoor industry.
Preferred Experience
- Previous work in a ski, snowboard, bicycle, sporting-goods, or outdoor store.
- Knowledge of both ski and bicycle products.
- Experience supervising or training employees.
- Familiarity with retail inventory and point-of-sale systems.
