Duties
- Set up and operate a variety of machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and CNC programming equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure precise fabrication.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and maintain quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
- Program and troubleshoot CNC machines using CAM programming software; adjust tooling as needed for optimal performance.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; assist with fabrication, assembly line tasks, and packaging processes.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery for maintenance needs; perform basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Follow safety protocols diligently; maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with factory standards.
Skills
- Proficiency with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC programming, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), SolidWorks, and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software.
- Hands-on experience with various manufacturing equipment such as stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, welding tools, hand tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility or factory environment with a focus on machining or materials handling.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for machine setup and measurement verification.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with assembly lines, packaging processes, tooling management, and safety standards.
