Commercial General and Mechanical Contractor seeks on-site Superintendent for full-time position overseeing multiple trade projects for work on Fort Detrick in Frederick Maryland.
Candidates should possess the following.
- 5 years of construction experience. Preferably in medical or Laboratory spaces.
-Some experience in the mechanical trades.
- 5 years experience as a Commercial Superintendent. Preferably working on public/government projects
-Safety training, minimum OSHA 30.
-be able to read drawings, plans.
-communicate effectively.
-write clearly and communicate via phone, email.
-comfortable working on a computer, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
-have experience in multiple trades and speak knowledgeably about general construction.
-Clean criminal history.
-US CITIZEN.
Superintendent's Daily Responsibilities
- conduct daily safety inspections prior to work commencing.
- perform daily tailgate safety meetings prior to work commencing.
- draft detailed daily reports.
- complete weekly QC/QA checklist.
- Oversee multiple trades including mechanical, electrical, structural steel, controls, civil and architectural.
- Maintain project schedule.
- Address field issues, draft RFIs and assist office with changer orders.
- Attend progress meetings.
40 hours a week and some rare weekend work if required.
