7th Grade Head Football Coach
Position Summary:
Reeths-Puffer is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 7th Grade Head Football Coach to lead and develop student-athletes in a positive, educational-based athletic program. The ideal candidate will emphasize skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and character while fostering a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices and game strategies appropriate for middle school athletes

Teach fundamental football skills, rules, and sportsmanship

Promote academic success and positive behavior among student-athletes

Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during practices and games
-
Communicate effectively with players, parents, school staff, and administration

Supervise athletes during practices, games, and team-related events

Maintain and inventory equipment and uniforms

Comply with all district, league, and state athletic policies and procedures

Attend coaches’ meetings and required trainings
-
Ability to assist in the development of the District K-12 football program in and out of season.

Ability to practice during designated times conducive to student schedules.
Qualifications:
-
Previous coaching experience preferred (football and/or middle school level)

Knowledge of football fundamentals, rules, and coaching techniques

Ability to work effectively with middle school students

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
-
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Must meet all district and state requirements for coaching, including background check and fingerprinting
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a school setting

Teaching certificate or involvement in education-related field (preferred but not required)
