Kedai Makan is a busy Malaysian restaurant in Capitol Hill known for its scratch-made food, strong team culture, and commitment to hospitality. We're looking for a dependable and hardworking Prep Cook / Dishwasher to support our kitchen operations and help deliver a great guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment
- Assist with food prep and ingredient organization
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Support cooks during service as needed
- Keep workstations stocked and organized
Compensation & Growth Opportunities
All team members participate in our service charge program and have clear opportunities for advancement.
Staff 1 (Cook/Server in Training)
- $21.30/hour + service charge
- Guaranteed minimum earnings: $23.50/hour
Staff 2 (Trained Cook/Server)
- $21.30/hour + service charge
- Guaranteed minimum earnings: $26.50/hour
Staff 3 (Lead Cook/Server)
- $21.30/hour + service charge
- Guaranteed minimum earnings: $28.50/hour
Staff 4 (Kitchen/Floor Shift Lead)
- $21.30/hour + service charge
- Guaranteed minimum earnings: $30.50/hour
This position starts at Staff 1 and advances to Staff 2 upon successful completion of training. Additional advancement opportunities are available through cross-training as a line cook or server.
