Handy on the Beach is a growing home repair and renovation company serving Panama City Beach and surrounding areas. We are looking for a dependable, skilled Residential Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, can work independently, and enjoys a variety of residential repair and improvement projects.
Work is performed at multiple residential properties throughout the area. We are seeking someone with experience in drywall repair, painting, trim work, basic carpentry, and general home maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform drywall repairs, patching, finishing, sanding, and texture matching
- Complete interior and exterior painting projects
- Install and repair baseboards, trim, doors, and door hardware
- Perform light carpentry and general home repairs
- Install shelving, grab bars, curtain rods, and other household fixtures
- Assemble furniture and complete punch-list items
- Caulk, seal, and perform minor cosmetic repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Accurately document work performed and materials used
- Assist with renovation and remodeling projects as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in handyman, maintenance, remodeling, carpentry, painting, or related work
- Ability to independently complete drywall repairs from start to finish
- Experience with interior painting and trim installation
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be reliable and show up on time
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with flooring installation
- Experience with cabinet installation or repair
- Experience with basic plumbing fixture replacement
- Experience with wallpaper installation or removal
- Customer service experience
