Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable software solutions that drive innovation and efficiency across our platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust applications, optimize system architecture, and ensure best practices in software engineering. Your expertise will help shape our technical landscape, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Lead the development of complex web and application systems using technologies such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Python, C#, Java, and C++.
- Design and implement scalable microservices architectures utilizing RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration across platforms.
- Develop and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on AWS and Azure, optimizing for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to plan sprints, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality software on time.
- Implement best practices in version control using GitHub, SVN, and other tools; establish CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
- Conduct system design reviews focusing on scalability, security (RBAC), and performance optimization.
- Mentor junior developers, promote code quality through design patterns, testing strategies, and peer reviews.
- Participate in system troubleshooting, incident response, and performance tuning to ensure system reliability.
Skills
- Extensive experience with IT infrastructure management and cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails for application development combined with front-end frameworks like React Express for web interfaces.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles for building interoperable systems.
- Expertise in designing scalable systems using microservices architecture and applying design patterns effectively.
- Solid knowledge of database management with MySQL, SQL Server, and experience with SQL query optimization.
- Experience with software engineering best practices including version control (GitHub, SVN), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Familiarity with Linux environments for deployment and system administration tasks.
- Programming skills in JavaScript, Python, C#, Java, C++, VBA,.NET frameworks including RBAC security models.
- Knowledge of web development standards including front-end development experience with React or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of quantum engineering principles is a plus but not required; strong analytical skills are essential for complex system design.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 10+ years of relevant professional experience; or Master's degree in Computer Science and 7+ years of relevant professional experience.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
