Responsibilities
- Guide customers through the automotive financing process, explaining loan options, terms, and insurance products clearly and confidently
- Conduct thorough credit analysis to determine appropriate financing solutions aligned with customer needs and dealership policies
- Manage loan processing from application to approval, coordinating with lenders and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
- Upsell automotive financing and insurance products to maximize deal profitability while meeting customer needs
- Negotiate terms with customers and lenders to secure favorable agreements that adhere to industry standards and regulatory compliance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive sales industry regulations, financial services laws, and dealership policies to ensure ethical practices in all transactions
Experience
- Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar financial services role within the automotive or dealership industry
- Strong background in customer relationship management, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability in transaction structuring, credit analysis, and financial software utilization for loan processing
- Experience in upselling automotive financing products and insurance packages effectively while maintaining high levels of customer service
- Basic math proficiency and 10-key typing skills essential for accurate data entry and calculations
- Prior dealership experience preferred but not required; a solid understanding of automobile sales processes is highly valued
