Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and maintaining positive interactions with clients. Prior experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or commercial driving is highly valued.
Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products to customers and clients.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel consumption.
- Verify delivery orders and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, stock replenishment, and organizing shipments.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for each trip.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries professionally and resolving any delivery issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with knowledge of route driving and navigation tools.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience operating box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes.
- Warehouse experience is a plus for understanding inventory handling and logistics operations.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and punctuality.
