- Conduct floor care procedures including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
- Clean carpets and upholstery using specialized equipment to remove stains and dirt effectively
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and trash bags to ensure continuous availability
- Follow safety protocols and environmental guidelines during all cleaning activities to promote health and sustainability
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure timely repairs and upkeep
- Maintain detailed logs of cleaning tasks completed during each shift for accountability and quality assurance
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services with a focus on environmental standards
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning methods
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, extractors, and vacuum cleaners safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to custodial work in commercial environments
