Hilton Head Vibes is seeking a friendly and dependable seasonal Retail Sales Associate to join our team at our charming gift shop located in beautiful Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, has a knack for sales, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales:
- Greet and assist customers in a warm and professional manner.
- Provide product recommendations and share knowledge about our unique selection of gifts and merchandise.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any concerns to ensure a positive shopping experience.
Merchandising & Inventory:
- Stock, organize, and display merchandise to maintain a visually appealing store layout.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking and inventory management.
- Assist in unpacking shipments and organizing stockroom items.
Store Maintenance:
- Keep the store clean, organized, and inviting for customers.
- Follow company policies and procedures for opening, closing, and maintaining the store.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding inventory needs, customer feedback, and operational issues.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to operate a POS system and handle cash or credit card transactions.
- A friendly and outgoing personality with a customer-focused mindset.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced retail environment.
Work Environment:
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
