With a dedicated fleet of company-owned assets and W2 drivers, we specialize in waste transportation from local transfer stations to landfills. We operate a fleet of over 600 tractors and 900 trailers, including top-tier models from Kenworth, Freightliner, Mack, and Western Star. Our trucks are powered by reliable Cummins X15, MP-8, and DD-13 engines, ensuring performance and efficiency across all operations.
With over 25 terminals across the Southeast, Midwest, and West Coast, Atomic Transport is rapidly expanding, and we’re looking for passionate individuals to grow with us. We’re currently seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. What We Offer:
- Pay starting at: $25-$28 an hour depending on experience
- Weekly Pay with time and a half for overtime.
- Sign-on bonus: $1,000

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform both minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers
- Diagnose and service Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems
- Use engine diagnostic software to troubleshoot issues
- Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform road-side service calls as needed
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Provide your own basic hand tools (larger/specialty tools provided)
Job Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or technician
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, exhaust systems, and diagnostic tools
- Must have your own set of basic hand tools
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass pre-employment screening (drug test and background check)
- Class A CDL prefer not required
