Books by Behnke is seeking a talented lead narrator for the audiobook edition of Before 21. As the voice of this deeply personal memoir, you will bring authenticity, emotion, and professionalism to every chapter while helping transform the author's story into an engaging listening experience.
You will record from your own professional home studio on an agreed production schedule, deliver clean, broadcast-quality audio, and collaborate with the author and producer on revisions and pickups until the audiobook is complete.
Responsibilities
- Narrate the complete audiobook with consistent tone, pacing, and emotional delivery.
- Record and edit audio from a professional home studio.
- Deliver audio files that meet the project's technical specifications.
- Complete pickups and revisions requested during production.
- Meet agreed-upon deadlines and maintain clear communication throughout the project.
Requirements
- Demonstrated audiobook, voiceover, or long-form narration experience (demo reel required).
- Access to a treated home studio capable of producing professional-quality recordings.
- Ability to perform emotionally driven material with authenticity and consistency.
- Strong communication skills and dependable turnaround times.
Compensation
Independent Contractor (1099). This position is paid as a fixed contractual fee that is agreed upon before work begins. Compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, and project requirements. The agreed-upon contract amount is paid according to the terms of the signed Independent Contractor Agreement.
Successful narrators may be considered for future audiobook productions with Books by Behnke.
Pay: $100.00 - $300.00 per month
