EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports the accurate review, updating, and maintenance of inmate records at SCI Camp Hill. It ensures that legal documents, sentence information, and identification records are processed correctly and in compliance with policy. As a Corrections Records Specialist, you will perform the following duties:

Record Maintenance: Collect information, review court documents, and update inmate records to ensure accuracy

Legal Review: Interpret court commitment documents, calculate sentence details, and prepare sentence status summaries

Identification Work: Interview inmates, collect fingerprints and DNA, and register offender information

Release Coordination: Arrange transportation, obtain authorization, and identify officials accompanying inmates to court appearances

Safety Support: Respond during incidents and conduct searches for contraband

Staff Guidance: Provide instruction to lower-level records staff on procedures and documentation

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
