Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Local CDL Driver to assist with daily trailer shuttling between our dealerships, customer locations, and vendor sites. This position involves moving trailers locally (no over-the-road hauls), maintaining equipment condition, and supporting our Service, Rental, and Sales departements.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely shuttle semi-trailers between dealership locations, customer yards, and service facilities.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment.
- Ensure trailers are clean, road-ready, and properly documented before delivery or return.
- Assist with spotting trailers in the yard and maintaining organized inventory placement.
- Communicate effectively with the Service and Rental departments to coordinate trailer movements.
- Complete delivery and inspection paperwork accurately and timely.
- Report any trailer damage, safety concerns, or maintenance needs.
- Support other dealership operations as needed, such as light yard or lot duties.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience required.
- Strong attention to safety, detail, and time management.
- Ability to maneuver trailers in tight spaces and on dealership lots.
- Must be dependable, professional, and customer-focused.
