Position Summary
The Office Manager is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations and core human resources administration. This role supports accurate financial reporting, cash flow management, payroll processing, and employee benefits administration, while also providing management with timely financial insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Manage accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and customer account follow-up
- Process accounts payable (AP) invoices, ensure proper approvals, and execute timely vendor payments
- Post weekly production transactions and prepare monthly inventory cycle count adjustments
- Prepare and post journal entries and support the month-end close process
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances as needed
- Support audits and provide documentation as requested
Payroll & Human Resources
- Manage and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations
- Administer PTO tracking, accruals, and reporting
- Manage employee benefits administration, including:
- Healthcare plans
- 401(k) enrollment and maintenance
- Coordination with benefits providers and payroll vendors
- Maintain employee records and support onboarding and offboarding processes
- Assist with HR compliance, policies, and internal documentation
- Manage office and warehouse supply purchases and stock levels
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in accounting, with exposure to payroll and HR administration preferred
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, AR/AP, and inventory accounting
- Experience preparing financial reports and management-level analysis
- Familiarity with payroll systems and employee benefits administration
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proficiency in Excel, ADP and SAP
Preferred Skills
- Experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or regulated environments
- Knowledge of month-end close and financial forecasting
- Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally
- Clear communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
