Responsibilities

- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food storage.
- Handle food safely and adhere to all food handling regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management.
- Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring that all dishes meet quality standards.
- Support the team in various kitchen tasks as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, particularly in roles such as cook or dietary aide.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and knife skills is essential.
- Knowledge of food handling practices within the food industry is highly desirable.
- Experience in catering or restaurant settings will be considered an asset.
