Robata Wasa is a Modern Japanese restaurant located in Irvine Spectrum Center. We are looking for responsible, reliable, and hospitality-driven Server/Bartenders to join our team. The ideal candidate is professional, punctual, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to providing excellent guest service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive service
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system
- Serve food, beer, wine, sake, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and make recommendations to guests
- Upsell menu items and beverages when appropriate
- Follow all food safety and responsible alcohol service guidelines
- Process guest payments accurately and handle cash responsibly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and bar areas
- Work efficiently with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of restaurant serving experience preferred
- Japanese restaurant experience strongly preferred
- Bartending experience preferred
- Valid Food Handler Card required
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Reliable, dependable, and professional work ethic
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SpotOn POS, or similar POS systems
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi, sake, and Japanese dining culture
- Fine dining experience is a plus
