We Are Looking for Strong Leadership
Serene Dental is a thriving two-doctor general practice offering comprehensive care, including preventive, restorative, implants, orthodontics, TMJ, and airway and sleep services. We have a loyal patient base, a skilled clinical team, and a strong reputation in the Hillsdale neighborhood.
What we need now is a Practice Manager who has been in this seat before and knows exactly what that means.
What This Job Actually Looks Like
You will own the practice's full operational and financial performance. That means you are not just supervising the front desk, you are driving revenue cycle management, optimizing insurance and collections, presenting treatment plans with confidence, and building the kind of team culture where great people want to stay.
On any given day, you may be resolving a complex insurance claim, coaching a front office team member, reviewing the AR report with the doctor, and fielding a patient concern. You need to be comfortable in all of it, without needing to be told what to do next.
Revenue and Operations
- Own billing, collections, and accounts receivable from end to end
- Manage insurance processing and claims resolution with precision
- Present treatment plans clearly and effectively to support case acceptance
- Oversee daily deposits and financial reporting
- Design in-house payment solutions that make care accessible to patients
- Ensure full OSHA and HIPAA compliance
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the front office team with clear expectations and genuine accountability
- Facilitate monthly team meetings that keep staff aligned and engaged
- Conduct meaningful performance reviews in partnership with the doctors
- Build a workplace where people are proud to show up
Practice Growth
- Track and improve key metrics: collections rate, case acceptance, patient retention
- Coordinate referral relationships with specialty offices
- Partner with our marketing team on patient acquisition and growth strategies
Schedule
Clinical days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
Administrative day: Wednesday
No evenings. No weekends.
What You Bring
You have at least five years of dental practice management experience, including both general and orthodontic practice environments. You know ADA & CDT codes. You have managed teams and have excellent track record of improving collections and case acceptance.
Required experience and skills:
- 5+ years of dental practice management, including orthodontics
- Expert-level knowledge of dental billing, ADA coding, and revenue cycle management
- Demonstrated leadership of front office teams with measurable outcomes
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (please specify in your application)
- Strong written and verbal communication, including patient-facing treatment presentation
- OSHA and HIPAA compliance knowledge
Bonus qualifications:
- Multi-doctor practice experience
- Marketing and patient acquisition background
- Dental practice management certification
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $65,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience
