JOB OVERVIEW
As a Skilled Trades Recruiter, you will leverage your experience in the trades to source, screen, and place qualified electricians and other skilled trades professionals. Your industry knowledge and / or field experience will enable you to effectively evaluate candidates’ technical capabilities and ensure a strong match between client needs and talent. You’ll play a key role in meeting hiring goals for clients in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruiting & Sourcing:
- Source skilled trade talent with a focus on electricians, electrical helpers, low voltage technicians, plumbers, HVAC Techs and related roles through job boards, social media, referrals, and local outreach.
- Use your knowledge of the skilled trades to screen and evaluate candidates' qualifications and experience.
- Conduct phone screens and in-person interviews to determine skill fit and cultural alignment.
- Manage job postings and advertising efforts to attract active and passive candidates.
Client & Job Order Management:
- Review job orders and understand client needs for skilled labor placements.
- Communicate effectively with clients about candidate availability and qualifications.
- Match qualified candidates to job orders and coordinate assignment logistics, start dates, and compliance.
Compliance & Onboarding:
- Ensure all hiring documentation, licenses, and safety certifications are complete and compliant with staffing and OSHA requirements.
- Conduct onboarding, safety orientations, and job site briefings.
- Maintain accurate records in ATS (e.g., Avionté) and internal databases.
Relationship Building & Retention:
- Build and maintain relationships with skilled tradespeople to ensure redeployment and long-term retention.
- Represent the company at job fairs, training centers, and trade schools to build talent pipelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
- Skilled trades staffing experience for commercial and industrial construction projects.
- 1+ year of recruiting or talent sourcing experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of skilled trades.
- Ability to assess trade skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Office-based with occasional field visits to job sites and training centers.
- Standard business hours with occasional early morning, late evening, or weekend times based on client needs.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
