Design Sales Consultant – High Income Potential

We are seeking motivated sales professionals to join our La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries team in the Raleigh market. This role combines consultative sales with interior design solutions, helping customers create beautiful and comfortable homes.
Our consultants work in a high-traffic showroom environment with steady walk-in customers and scheduled design appointments. This allows you to focus on building relationships and delivering complete room solutions rather than chasing leads.
Income Opportunity
Typical earnings: $55,000-$75,000
Top consultants: $100,000+
Our consultants frequently work on $5,000 – $20,000 room projects using our complimentary in‑home design service.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers into the showroom and understand their needs
- Guide customers through furniture, fabric, and design selections
- Help customers plan entire rooms and living spaces
- Participate in in-home design consultations when appropriate
- Build long-term client relationships and generate referrals
- Follow up with clients and manage sales opportunities
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated and goal oriented
- Professional presentation and customer focus
- Ability to build relationships and close sales
- Prior experience in sales, automotive sales, real estate, luxury retail, or commission-based roles is helpful but not required

Schedule
Monday – Saturday: 9:15 AM – 6:00 PM
Sunday: 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekend availability required. Days off scheduled during the week.
