Best Western Plus Tree House is taking candidates for Cooks to join our team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This position is essential to our mission of providing high-quality service and delicious meals that enhance the overall stay for visitors at our hotel.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Plan menus that accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences while ensuring quality.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen at all times.
- Handle food products safely and efficiently during preparation and cooking processes.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service for guests.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to plan menus effectively while considering cost control measures.
- Excellent meal preparation skills with attention to detail in presentation.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with kitchen staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
