Position Overview
The Barista creates a memorable customer experience by providing fast, friendly service and
consistently high-quality beverages and food. This role is responsible for following company
processes, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and contributing to a positive,
team-oriented environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Greet and genuinely connect with each customer
- Create a welcoming, friendly atmosphere
- Prepare coffee, beverages, and food to standard recipes or customized customer
- preferences
- Welcome questions and educate customers about our products
- Suggestively upsell complementary items and merchandise
- Accurately take orders, process payments, and manage the cash drawer
- Serve all orders according to recipe, presentation, and speed-of-service guidelines
- Identify drinks clearly upon delivery
- Operate and maintain cleanliness of all store equipment
- Restock workstations, food, supplies, and merchandise to support efficient workflow
- Maintain cleanliness of both customer-facing and staff areas
- Demonstrate genuine appreciation to every guest

Physical & Scheduling Requirements

Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and some holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand motions
- Ability to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to walk, stoop, and climb occasionally throughout the day
- Ability to hear, see, and communicate clearly in a loud environment
Experience & Certifications

Previous barista experience required
- Food Handler License preferred (can be obtained after hire)
