SHIPPER – DAYS - WAUKESHA
Your FULL-TIME WEEKDAYS will be spent operating a SIT-DOWN FORKLIFT as you stage, load and unload a variety of our baled recyclable materials onto and off of 53' semi-trailers. You will need 2 or more years of experience loading/unloading materials on semi-trailers to qualify for this opening. No prior shipping paperwork experience needed, you will be forklifting most of your day. If you enjoy working in a smaller teamwork environment, this may be an opportunity for you!
Responsibilities
· Moving large bales of paper, cardboard, metals etc. from staging areas onto and off of 53' trailers using sit-down forklifts. Requires ability to load and unload trailers efficiently, following prescribed load patterns. Many of our materials are not palletized. You must also be comfortable handling multi-tier bales, onto and off of stacks.
· Recording and maintaining inventory accurately through our scale system. You will weigh and record material weights electronically and follow load patterns to efficiently load and unload bales of recyclables.
Job Essentials
· 2 years of previous SIT-DOWN FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE LOADING/UNLOADING SEMI TRAILERS REQUIRED, to efficiently handle large bales of materials.
· Willingness and understanding you will get dirty. You will also be working in an overhead door building that is seasonally hot and cold.
· Successful candidates for this position will possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
