Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pizza Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent customer service, good actitud and a strong understanding of food safety standards. Prior experience in food service, restaurant settings, or the food industry is highly valued, especially those with culinary or fine dining experience. The Pizza Cook will be responsible for preparing delicious pizzas, ensuring proper food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients according to established recipes and standards
- Cook pizzas to perfection using appropriate methods and equipment
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Assist in menu planning and suggest new pizza varieties or improvements
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management of supply needs
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service experience
- Adhere to dietary department standards and support catering or special event needs as required
- Demonstrate proficiency in food handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques

Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling procedures
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in a fast-paced environment
- Background in dietary aide work or dietary department experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward customer service
- Prior experience in fine dining or the food industry is advantageous
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed
