American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience to support cardiologists, radiologists, and RNs in the IR Lab.

Work setting is the Interventional Radiology Lab
-
Supports execution and technical analysis of procedures performed by cardiologists and radiologists
-
4x10 hour day shifts with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM
-
Every 3rd weekend required
-
On-call as needed
-
Charting system experience required (any system accepted)
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience required
-
Current ACLS and BLS certification required
-
Fluoroscopy Permit required
-
CA state license required if applicable
-
Proficiency with vascular access including central venous lines, PICC lines, and port management
-
Experience with a wide range of vascular, genitourinary, and abdominal/pelvic interventional procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and angiography
-
Cardiac cath lab procedure experience including diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
-
Experience with sterile technique, scrubbing, and maintaining a sterile field
-
Familiarity with PACS equipment operation

Integrates education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to execute safe and precise treatment under cardiologist supervision

Builds patient and family confidence through competent assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication
-
Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations and facility policies to ensure patient privacy and safety
-
May mentor and train students

Accepts local candidates at the local rate

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for the travel rate
-
Returning staff or travelers must have a separation period of at least 1 year before returning
-
Maximum RTO is 7 days per contract with only 1 holiday request approved per contract

Must be available to complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing

First-time travelers may be considered
