Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Director of Nursing (DON) for a Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility in West Virginia. This leadership role is ideal for a strong nursing professional experienced in survey readiness, staff development, regulatory compliance, and driving quality patient care outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all nursing operations within the facility
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and CMS regulations
- Lead and mentor Unit Managers, Supervisors, and nursing staff
- Maintain survey readiness and improve clinical outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for quality resident care
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and nursing workflows
- Monitor clinical performance and implement process improvements
- Participate in care planning and family meetings
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of DON experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) / LTC
- Minimum 1+ year of RN experience
- Strong knowledge of LTC regulations and survey process
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
