Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Crew Leader to spearhead outdoor landscaping and grounds maintenance projects. In this role, you will lead a team of skilled workers to deliver high-quality lawn care, landscape maintenance, and horticultural services. Your leadership will ensure that all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily crew activities across multiple landscaping and grounds maintenance projects
- Lead outdoor work tasks including lawn care, planting, pruning, hardscape installation, and irrigation system management
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of grounds maintenance equipment and company vehicles
- Identify plants, trees, and horticultural elements to ensure proper care and landscape design adherence
- Manage irrigation systems, troubleshoot issues, and oversee irrigation installation projects
- Enforce safety protocols and promote a safe working environment for all team members
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to meet project specifications and deadlines
- Provide training and mentorship to crew members on landscaping techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures
Experience
- Proven supervising or crew management experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance roles
- Extensive outdoor work experience with a focus on lawn care, gardening, or horticulture
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including plant identification, pruning, fertilization, and pest control
- Familiarity with construction projects related to landscaping or hardscape installation
- Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation tools
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in outdoor environments
- Construction experience related to hardscape features like patios or walkways is a plus
- Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and responsibly
