Join us at our new French/Italian pizzaria Bistro ! Formerly River House Pizza Co. in the Forest Green shopping center we have moved back to our roots on Main Street in Ellicott City.
Join us in our scratch kitchen, with everything made in house using locally sourced ingredients. You will work side by side with experienced chefs crafting seasonal dishes with French technique and Italian soul.
In this energetic role, you will prepare and cook/bake a variety of dishes with precision and creativity, ensuring every plate meets our high standards. Your culinary skills will contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients , cook/bake menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
- Support catering events and special functions with timely meal preparation and service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy hours
- Serve dishes efficiently and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
Qualifications
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills, including knife skills and meal assembly
- Experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude towards culinary excellence
- Having a ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification is a plus
