Wage Increase: $22.00 per Hour After 1040 Hours of Service in This Position

This position serves as a bridge between frontline officers, clients, and management. Lead Officers play a critical role in supporting operations, maintaining quality, mentoring team members, and ensuring important information is communicated accurately throughout the organization.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Lead Security Officers combine frontline security responsibilities with leadership duties.
Assignments vary by site and client needs, but successful Lead Officers consistently:
- Support and mentor officers during their shifts
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Promote professionalism and accountability
- Help resolve problems before they become larger issues
- Ensure critical information is communicated accurately between shifts
- Support operational consistency and service quality
- Lead by example in both conduct and performance
COMMUNICATION, DOCUMENTATION, AND LEADERSHIP
Strong communication is one of the most important responsibilities of a Lead Officer.
Lead Officers are responsible for ensuring information is documented accurately, communicated clearly, and passed between officers, supervisors, and clients effectively.
Successful candidates can:
- Identify important information and priorities
- Write clear and accurate reports
- Review information critically and recognize gaps
- Communicate expectations professionally
- Help other officers improve documentation and communication skills
Officers use company software throughout every shift to document activity, communicate updates, review information, and maintain operational continuity.
Applicants should be comfortable learning technology, navigating digital systems, and producing professional written documentation.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
We are seeking candidates with at least one year of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 22 years old
- Valid Oregon or Washington Driver License with a clean driving record
- High School Diploma or GED
- Eligible to obtain or maintain Oregon DPSST Certification
- At least one year of supervisory, leadership, or team lead experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write clear, accurate, and professional reports
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile devices, and company software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and lead others effectively
- Ability to comply with PPS's Drug-Free Workplace Policy
DPSST CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
