About the Role
As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the overall condition, safety, and appearance of our apartment community. You will work closely with property management to ensure vacant units are move-in ready and maintenance requests are completed efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Unit Turnovers & Property Maintenance
- Prepare vacant apartment units for new residents by ensuring they are clean, functional, and move-in ready
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout the property
- Complete general repairs and upkeep to maintain the community’s appearance and functionality
- Maintain inventory and stock of supplies
- Maintain appropriate daily records for work completed
Repairs & Installations
- Repair drywall and complete interior/exterior painting as needed
- Repair or install doors, sliding closet doors, fixtures, and hardware
- Replace or repair lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, outlets, and switches
- Address plumbing-related issues including:
a) Toilets
b) Garbage disposals
c) Dishwashers
d) Drain snaking
e) Caulking and brazing repairs
Resident Service
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain positive communication with residents and team members
- Ensure all work is completed safely and according to company standards
- HVAC diagnostics is a plus
Qualifications:
Required
- 2–4 years of apartment, residential, or general maintenance experience
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
- Reliable transportation and personal tools
- Ability to work one weekend day and participate in after-hours emergency calls
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred
- HVAC experience
- Appliance repair experience
- Experience working in multifamily or apartment communities
Compensation & Benefits
