Job Summary
Join our varsity tree team where you will play a vital role in our robust tree removal operation. This energetic position involves assisting with tree care operations, including removal, pruning, and stump grinding. You will work closely with experienced arborists and tree professionals to ensure safe tree removal and pruning. Your contributions will help enhance community spaces while gaining valuable skills in arboriculture. We are high paced and perform the large, high risk removals most companies walk away from. We have all the necessary tools and equipment needed to perform the work and it is in excellent shape. We work year round. Serious tree men only. You will not last if you don't love this type of work.

Duties
- Assist with tree removal and pruning using proper techniques.
- Assist with stump grinding.
- Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, excavator, skid steer, tractor, stump grinder, chainsaws, and rigging tools.
- Support arborists with rigging and climbing tasks, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and gear in order to keep it in excellent condition
- Assist in site cleanup .
Requirements
- Valid driver's license is a must, Class B or A is preferred. Nearly every setup requires a commercial license.
- Experience with chainsaws and rigging for safe cutting operations at various heights.
- Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects safely.
- A willingness to learn about dendrology (tree science), landscaping practices, and plant care standards.
- Prior experience or growing knowledge in arboriculture is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and confidently; familiarity with bucket operation is a plus.
- Ability to climb trees via spikes and/or rope is a plus.
