The purpose of this advanced level position is to perform difficult work assignments involving independent judgment to determine course of action consistent with established functional and organization's policies and tax code. This position requires familiarity of complex concepts in functional area to perform semi-routine work activities with limited supervision. It is critical to be able to think and act independently on assigned projects. Typically, will interface with departmental staff and commitment to customer service is important.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma required. Two years of college or equivalent work experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

4+ years of related work experience in customer service and mailroom
- Must have completed TDLR courses 101, 102, 4 and 7

Position Specific Responsibilities (Division specific responsibilities)
Jurisdictions

Compile and assemble jurisdiction bond-sale value estimates and Jurisdiction self-report documentation for review prior to the Chief Appraiser's signature.

Log and process incoming documents for jurisdiction corrections, creations, annexations, and de-annexations, and perform a completeness check against a standard checklist before routing to management for review.

Compile and assemble documentation responsive to open-records requests for review and authorization of release.

Generate and distribute recurring and templated jurisdiction reports upon request.

Receive, log, and route jurisdiction correspondence, calls, and inquiries, escalating substantive matters to the coordinator.

Serve as the Records Management Liaison, coordinating records management activities and supporting compliance with records retention policies. Organize and maintain the division's filing system

Manage weekly payroll timesheets by reviewing, tracking, and submitting employee time for processing.

Prepare and distribute monthly FTP roll records for jurisdiction reporting.

Act as the primary point of contact for tax assessor staff, representing law firms, contract developers, and other external stakeholders by responding to inquiries and fostering effective communication.

Provide administrative support by assisting with day-to-day departmental operations.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Positions in this class typically require repetitive motions, walking, talking and hearing. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time with ability to reach, bend and move up/down on steps. Must be able to lift up to 50-pound file boxes. The position requires considerable concentration, creativity and ability to manage time effectively. The position is subject to stress caused by a changing public environment, mandatory deadlines and heavy workload. Requires the ability to ask questions that will bring forth the information needed to make sound decisions.
