Join our dynamic team as a Gymnastics Coach and inspire athletes of all ages to reach new heights in their gymnastics journey! This energetic role involves designing engaging training sessions, teaching fundamental and advanced gymnastics skills, and fostering a positive environment that promotes growth, confidence, and safety. As a Gymnastics Coach, you will lead classes, motivate students, and ensure every participant enjoys a rewarding experience while developing their physical abilities. Hours 3PM-6PM MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging gymnastics training sessions tailored to various skill levels and age groups
- Demonstrate proper techniques for vaulting, tumbling, balance beam routines, bars, and floor exercises
- Monitor participants’ progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust coaching methods accordingly
- Maintain a safe environment by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring proper use of equipment such as mats, beams, and bars
- Manage behavior management strategies to foster discipline and respect among students
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and safety concerns
- Lead warm-up routines, stretching exercises, and cool-down activities to prevent injuries
- Assist in organizing gymnastics competitions or showcases to showcase student achievements
Experience
- Prior coaching experience in gymnastics or related sports such as martial arts, cheerleading, or dance is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with children and youth in a coaching or teaching capacity
- Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction techniques for gymnastics or similar disciplines
- Experience working with sports teams or leading team leadership activities
- Certifications in First Aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) are required; AED operation certification is a plus
- Background in Lifeguard experience or swimming can be beneficial for water-related activities or safety training
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support positive student engagement
- Additional skills in soccer coaching, basketball, climbing, judo, karate or other martial arts are advantageous for versatile coaching capabilities
