Minuteman Press Duluth is a fast-paced, customer-focused print, design, and signage company. We are seeking an experienced, motivated Shop Manager / Graphic Designer who can help oversee daily operations.
Position Summary
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong experience in the print and sign industry. The ideal candidate will manage shop workflow, coordinate production, assist customers, prepare files for output, and create professional graphic designs for print and signage projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily shop operations and production workflow
- Design and prepare artwork for print, signage, and promotional products
- Review and process customer files for production
- Coordinate projects from order entry through final production
- Communicate with customers regarding artwork, proofs, and production schedules
- Assist with digital print and sign production equipment
- Ensure projects are completed accurately and on time
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment
- Assist with estimating, scheduling, and customer service as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of print and/or sign industry experience
- Minimum 3 years of graphic design and prepress experience
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including:
- Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat
- Strong understanding of file preparation, color management, and print production
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred:
- Experience with digital printing equipment and large-format signage production
- Previous shop management or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of estimating, job scheduling, and production planning
Compensation & Benefits
- $24.00 - $26.00 per hour based on experience
