2ND STREET USA is a fast-growing fashion resale retailer that combines buying and selling, with a curated, trend-driven shopping experience. As we continue expanding across the United States, we are building strong teams to support new store openings and future growth opportunities.
We are seeking Sales Associates to join our newest location opening at Arsenal Yards in Watertown, Massachusetts. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a store launch from the ground up while developing valuable retail, fashion, customer service, and buying experience.
New Store Opening Timeline Phase 1: Initial Training – September
Newly hired Sales Associates will begin their onboarding and initial training journey at our Harvard Square store.

During this phase, Sales Associates will:
- Learn 2ND STREET operational and customer service standards
- Receive initial training on store procedures and systems
- Develop product knowledge and fashion awareness
- Learn buying and resale processes
- Gain experience with POS, fitting rooms, replenishment, and sales floor operations
- Learn inventory processing and merchandising standards
- Work alongside experienced store team members
- Prepare for the Arsenal Yards store opening
Phase 2: Store Setup & Grand Opening – October
In October, Sales Associates will transition to the new Arsenal Yards location in Watertown and become part of the store opening team.
During this phase, Sales Associates will:
- Assist with new store setup and operational readiness
- Support inventory receiving, processing, and merchandising
- Help prepare the sales floor for opening
- Execute visual merchandising and store presentation standards
- Support inventory organization and replenishment
- Participate in final opening preparations
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience during the grand opening
- Help establish the foundation for a successful new store

Position Overview
As a Sales Associate, you will play an important role in creating an engaging, fashion-forward customer experience while supporting the daily operations of the store.
You will assist customers, maintain the sales floor, support buying and inventory operations, and contribute to the overall success of the store.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about fashion, resale, trends, and customer service, and who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Experience
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging customer service
- Assist customers with product selection and styling recommendations
- Answer questions about products, pricing, and store policies
- Create a welcoming and energetic shopping environment
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
Sales Floor Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor
- Replenish merchandise and maintain appropriate product presentation
- Support fitting room operations
- Operate POS and process customer transactions accurately
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Support daily sales goals and store performance
Buying & Resale Operations
- Assist with the buying and selling process
- Learn and apply 2ND STREET buying standards
- Support the processing and evaluation of merchandise
- Develop knowledge of fashion trends, brands, and resale value
- Maintain quality and accuracy when handling merchandise
Inventory & Merchandising
- Receive, process, and organize merchandise
- Assist with inventory management
- Price and prepare merchandise for the sales floor
- Support merchandising and floor set execution
- Maintain product organization and store presentation standards
Teamwork & Store Support
- Work collaboratively with Store Managers, Assistant Managers, and Sales Associates
- Participate in training and ongoing development
- Support new team members during the store opening
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
- Follow company policies, procedures, and operational standards
What We're Looking For
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred

Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Comfortable standing, walking, and remaining active throughout shifts
- Local travel may be required during the training and store-opening period
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
