The Transportation Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating daily transportation operations, managing schedules, communicating with drivers and customers, and ensuring all driver compliance requirements are maintained. The ideal candidate has prior experience in the bus, motorcoach, limousine, or charter transportation industry and is proficient with Limo Anywhere or similar dispatch and reservation software.
Responsibilities
- Dispatch and monitor drivers for daily charter, shuttle, and transportation services.
- Manage schedules, trip assignments, route changes, and real-time operational adjustments.
- Utilize Limo Anywhere or similar transportation management software to coordinate trips, maintain reservations, and track operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and operations staff.
- Ensure all driver files, certifications, licenses, medical cards, and compliance documentation remain current and organized.
- Monitor driver qualification files and assist with DOT and company compliance requirements.
- Track vehicle availability and coordinate with maintenance personnel as needed.
- Handle after-hours operational issues and emergency situations when required.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and operational logs.
- Assist with customer service inquiries and resolve transportation-related issues professionally.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of dispatch experience in the bus, motorcoach, limousine, charter, or transportation industry.
- Experience using Limo Anywhere, Bus Anywhere, GroundWidgets, or similar transportation dispatch software.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, driver qualification files, and transportation compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
- Experience coordinating large fleets and managing driver schedules is preferred.
