Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
The Communications Manager is responsible for executing high-volume, business-critical communications that support daily mortgage operations, with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity, and timeliness. This role manages the development and distribution of key communications including seller guide updates, pricing communications (“pricing flashes”), and business updates for lenders and clients, ensuring all messaging is clear, on-brand, and compliant. The position partners closely with operations and sales leadership to align communications with business priorities while also planning and managing broader communication strategies to effectively reach internal and external audiences. Responsibilities include evaluating complex information to determine appropriate communication approaches, editing internal and external publications, developing executive messaging, and supporting enterprise communication initiatives, community engagement, and special projects.
In addition to strong writing capabilities, this role requires the ability to manage the technical and operational infrastructure that supports communication delivery. The Communications Manager utilizes systems such as SharePoint, Salesforce, All Regs, and CAT to ensure accurate, consistent, and compliant communication execution and distribution. The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to produce clear, concise communications at a high volume while maintaining operational continuity, with strong knowledge of mortgage products, processes, and regulatory requirements to effectively translate complex information into actionable messaging for stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Seven or more years of experience in communications activities

- Strong understanding of mortgage industry terminology, business processes, and regulatory complexity, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear communications
- Proven ability to develop and deliver branded, company-wide communications that align with organizational standards and messaging strategies
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate content in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage communication infrastructure and operational processes, ensuring consistent and uninterrupted delivery of communications (“keeping the tracks running”)
- Ability to quickly prioritize, adapt, and execute across multiple communication priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $86,360.00 - $101,600.00
