Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety at all times through attentive child supervision.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment conducive to learning.
- Help with daily routines such as snack time, diapering or potty training, nap time, and other caregiving responsibilities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and needs to foster strong home-school connections.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to respond promptly to emergencies.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with lead teachers and specialists.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire), including pediatric first aid training.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse and neglect.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating excellent child supervision skills.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with parents and team members professionally.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Passion for early childhood education, patience, adaptability, and a lively approach to engaging young learners.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
