Assistant Program Manager
The primary role of the Assistant Program Manager is to work with our developmentally disabled adult
clients in a residential setting at an advanced level of professional competence. In addition, the
Assistant Program Manager oversees the efficient operation of the facility, including prioritizing and
assigning duties to direct support staff on the weekend and in the Program Manager’s absence. The
Assistant Program Manager is expected to set a positive example for direct support staff by adhering to
Cornerstone policies and procedures, government regulations, and quality of care standards.

Under the direction of the facility’s Program Manager, the Assistant Program Manager is
responsible for the following:

cleanliness of the facility, both inside and out. These duties include but are not limited to
laundry, vacuuming, sweeping (including decks, patios, and outdoor living areas), mopping,
disinfecting bathroom and kitchen surfaces, and periodic deep cleaning. On the weekend
and in the absence of the Program Manager, the Assistant Program Manager supervises the
housekeeping duties of other direct support staff.
Reporting health and safety concerns to the Program Manager as well as the need for
facility repairs and maintenance.
Assisting residents, documenting medication administration per established procedure, and

medications from the Cornerstone administrative office and for transporting residents to
doctors’ appointments, as needed.
