Trailblazer Academy is seeking a passionate, faith-filled, and dedicated UPK (Universal Pre-School) Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners during one of the most important stages of their development. As a faith-based early childhood program, we believe children thrive when they are surrounded by love, encouragement, and the teachings of Jesus.
Schedule:
8:45 am - 12:00 pm or full time if preferred 8:45 am to 5:45 pm
In this role, you will create a vibrant, engaging, and Christ-centered classroom environment that promotes academic growth, curiosity, kindness, and a lifelong love of learning. You will help children build a strong educational foundation while also modeling Christian values through your daily interactions, character, and leadership.

Duties
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum aligned with Colorado UPK and early childhood education standards, including literacy, mathematics, science, social-emotional learning, and physical development.
- Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and faith-filled classroom where every child feels loved, valued, and encouraged.
- Incorporate Biblical principles, prayer, Bible stories, worship, and Christ-centered character development into daily classroom routines and learning experiences.
- Foster curiosity, creativity, independence, and a love of learning through hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities.
- Use positive classroom management strategies that promote respect, kindness, responsibility, and problem-solving.
- Conduct assessments to monitor each child's developmental and academic progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Build strong partnerships with families by communicating regularly regarding student progress, classroom activities, and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with leadership and teaching staff to ensure curriculum is implemented consistently and effectively.
- Utilize specialized strategies to support children requiring early intervention or additional developmental support.
- Plan engaging lessons that incorporate play-based learning, sensory experiences, and exploration while meeting individual learning needs.
- Maintain accurate lesson plans, child assessments, classroom documentation, and licensing requirements.
- Model Christian values through words and actions, demonstrating patience, grace, compassion, and integrity while helping pour the love of Jesus into the hearts of our students.
Requirements
- Experience in early childhood education, preschool, childcare, or private school settings.
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Experience creating engaging curriculum that supports literacy, mathematics, social-emotional development, and kindergarten readiness.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Knowledge of classroom management strategies that foster a positive, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
- Must support and uphold the mission, values, and Statement of Faith of Trailblazer Academy.
- Early Childhood Teacher qualification required under Colorado licensing regulations. UPK qualifications are preferred.
