ABOUT THE ROLE
PRIMO is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a well-regarded, owner-operated full-service restaurant concept in Raleigh, NC. We are seeking a General Manager to step into an established, operating location — one with a foundation already in place — and take it to the next level through disciplined operational leadership, sales growth, and team development.
The incoming GM’s job is to execute operationally, manage profitability tightly, and ensure the team is positioned to convert sales growth into sustained results. If you’re a proven restaurant operator who thrives on accountability and is energized by a clear mission, this is your role.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- Lead all restaurant operations and set the standard for service, culture, and guest experience every shift
- Own the full P&L — sales growth and profitability are the primary performance metrics for this role
- Partner with the Sales Manager to drive revenue through private events, group dining, and local partnerships
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing team through coaching, accountability, and strong culture
- Manage labor, food cost, and operating expenses with discipline to protect and grow margins
- Maintain operational systems, vendor relationships, inventory, and purchasing standards
- Deliver regular financial and operational reporting directly to ownership
- Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of progressive restaurant management experience, including 2+ years as a General Manager
- Full-service background required — polished casual, upscale casual, or fine dining preferred
- Financially fluent: proven P&L ownership, cost management, and a track record of driving profitability
- Sales-aware — understands revenue drivers and can work alongside a Sales Manager to grow the top line
- Highly organized with strong operational systems and attention to detail
- Lightning rod people leader with proven ability to build stable, high-performing teams
- Raleigh-based or willing to relocate; fully on-site role
- Wine and beverage knowledge is essential
