Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Employment Specialist (BILINGUAL IN SPANISH) to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals seeking employment opportunities within the food and hospitality industry. In this role, you will be a vital connector, guiding clients through our programs, providing tailored coaching and preparing them to join the workforce.

This position offers an engaging environment where your expertise in recruitment, class facilitation, job placement, and client communication will drive positive change within diverse communities.
Duties
- Develop personalized employment plans by assessing clients’ skills, interests, and barriers to employment.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to clients, empowering them with job readiness skills and confidence.
- Assist clients with resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies using Microsoft Office tools.
- Conduct community outreach and build relationships with local social services agencies to identify potential program participants.
- Conduct outreach and build relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities aligned with client capabilities.
- Facilitate training sessions on workforce development topics.
- Maintain detailed records to track client progress and ensure compliance with program requirements.
- Advocate for clients’ needs by serving as a liaison with community and employer partners.
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Proven experience working with individuals facing employment barriers (i.e. language, new comers to the country, education, childcare, transportation, etc.)
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction, reporting, and collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SalesForce.
- Background in coaching, mentoring, recruiting, training & development within workforce development programs.
- Ability to conduct interviews effectively while demonstrating empathy and active listening skills.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
