We are a growing pain management practice dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Our clinic focuses on improving quality of life through comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans. As we expand, we are seeking a motivated and flexible Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who is excited to grow with us and contribute both clinically and administratively.
Position Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant will support the provider with clinical duties while also assisting with front desk responsibilities as our practice continues to grow. Clinical Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Document medical history and update patient records
- Assist provider with examinations and procedures
- Prepare and clean exam rooms
- Administer injections and medications as directed
- Process prescription refills and prior authorizations
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and infection control standards
Front Desk Responsibilities
- Greet and check in/check out patients
- Schedule appointments and manage provider calendar
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect copays
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
- Maintain organized patient records and filing systems
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- Previous experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, or primary care preferred
- Experience with EMR systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to assist in both clinical and administrative roles
