Position Overview
The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for driving a company truck between our Louisville location and our Aurora location (both company-owned locations!). The trucks we use are leased (meaning they’re newer)!
3RD Shift
- Sunday - Thursday
- Start Time: 10:00 PM (flexibility available)
- End Time: Approximately 6:00 AM
Essential Functions
- Safely transport raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods between Fresca Foods facilities in Aurora and Louisville, Colorado.
- Transfer materials between production facilities as directed by supervisors or leads.
- Perform approximately 10–15 trailer moves per shift without the use of a hostler.
- Operate assigned tractor-trailer equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured prior to transport.
- Follow established routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely transportation of materials.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety requirements.
- Operate vehicles in a safe, professional, and courteous manner while representing Fresca Foods.
- Notify management of maintenance concerns, equipment issues, accidents, or delivery delays.
- Verify that each load is accompanied by the appropriate load manifest and documentation.
- Assist with loading and unloading trailers when directed by Production or Logistics leadership.
- Maintain accurate records as required by DOT and company procedures.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Education
- Current Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)* Required
- Minimum of 9 months of CDL driving experience.
- Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dependable, disciplined, and reliable work ethic.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and production teams.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.
Work Environment
- Able to work 8 hours shifts in a mostly fixed schedule, yet flexible to work nights and/or weekends as required
- Mandatory use of required personal protective equipment
- Use of electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and other heavy machinery
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and capable of lifting 20 lbs. on a repeated basis throughout the day
- Frequent bending, stooping and climbing
- Able to work in varying temperatures
- Comfortable with a moderate noise level
- Able to work in an environment with peanuts and tree nuts
