Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager specializing in Substation projects to oversee and coordinate all aspects of electrical substation construction. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, extensive construction site experience, and a solid understanding of electrical systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.
Duties
- Manage and supervise all phases of substation construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop detailed construction schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure project milestones are met.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Conduct quality control and quality inspection activities to ensure adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
- Perform or oversee construction inspection activities, including site assessments and compliance checks.
- Review construction estimates and manage procurement processes for materials and equipment.
- Monitor progress on-site, troubleshoot issues promptly, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Document project progress, prepare reports, and communicate updates to senior management.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on electrical substations or similar infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, project management methodologies, and scheduling tools.
- Expertise in quality control and inspection processes within a construction environment.
- Electrical experience or background is highly desirable for understanding technical specifications.
- Extensive construction site experience with the ability to oversee multiple teams and subcontractors.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to coordinate complex projects effectively.
- Ability to analyze technical drawings, specifications, and safety documentation thoroughly. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering high-quality work while maintaining safety standards across all project phases.
Pay: From $78,573.97 per year
