Position Overview
The District Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple retail agencies within an assigned territory. This role drives sales performance, operational excellence, and team development while ensuring consistent execution of company standards and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall district operations, including sales, customer service, marketing, administration, and HR functions.
- Develop and execute territory plans to achieve sales targets and business growth objectives.
- Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and implement strategies to improve results.
- Recruit, coach, and develop Agency Managers and sales teams to maximize performance.
- Conduct performance reviews and manage corrective action when necessary.
- Partner with Agency Managers to execute marketing initiatives and business planning.
- Provide training and ongoing support in sales, customer service, and operational best practices.
- Manage budgets and ensure effective allocation of district resources.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong communication with agency leadership and corporate management.
- Drive employee engagement through contests, incentives, and performance initiatives.
- Resolve operational issues and ensure high levels of customer and employee satisfaction.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in sales management required; multi-unit or district management experience preferred.
- Insurance industry experience required; active P&C license is a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial and operational reporting (P&L, forecasts, KPIs).
- Proven ability to lead teams and achieve sales and business growth targets.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance standards.
