Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic food service team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, and experience working in fast-paced restaurant environments. This role involves engaging with guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring an outstanding dining experience. Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred, along with a background in fine dining, catering, or banquet service. The Server will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve meals, drinks, and desserts efficiently while ensuring presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Assist with menu planning and recommend dishes based on guest preferences
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments via POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, stations, and service utensils
- Follow food safety protocols during meal preparation, serving, and handling to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders
- Support catering events or banquet services as needed
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience is highly preferred; experience with fine dining or catering is a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in meal preparation or food industry roles is beneficial
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Prior banquet or catering experience is advantageous but not required
