Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to hire in September with a strong background in government construction projects. This is a position requiring proficiency with ConEst estimating software. We are looking for a detail‑oriented estimator who can produce accurate, competitive bids and support our growing commercial project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
· Attend site visits
· Prepare detailed electrical estimates for government and commercial projects (no retail)
· Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents
· Obtain quotes from vendors
· Perform material takeoffs, labor calculations, and system pricing
· Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors
· Identify value‑engineering opportunities and project risks
· Maintain organized estimate files and historical cost data
Qualifications
· 2+ years of electrical estimating experience
· Required: Hands‑on experience with ConEst
· Strong understanding of NEC and commercial electrical systems
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Bluebeam experience preferred
· Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
