Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Masters Level Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with diverse populations, families, and individuals facing various mental health challenges. The Therapist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing both individual and group counseling services.
Duties
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address mental health concerns.
- Provide psychotherapy using various therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on issues such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and crisis intervention.
- Work collaboratively with families to provide child and family counseling while ensuring a supportive environment for all clients.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper ICD coding for diagnoses.
- Engage in crisis management and behavior management strategies to support clients in acute situations.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance therapeutic practices and contribute to the field of mental health.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote counseling services as needed.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in behavioral health, including trends in developmental disabilities, geriatrics, and special education.
Experience
- A Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is required; relevant certifications or licensure preferred.
- Experience working in outpatient is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and experience in hospital settings is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and patient assessment processes is essential.
- Previous experience with outpatient services or inpatient care will be beneficial.
- Proficiency in various therapeutic approaches such as art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis, and behavioral therapy is a plus.
- Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
